Reilly Kavanaugh

  • We’re excited to recognize Reilly Kavanaugh-Heine as our Volunteer of the Session! 

    Although Reilly has only volunteered with TRC for a little over a year, she has jumped into the volunteering experience with two feet, and is a staple in many areas of importance at the barn. She volunteers every Friday, regularly helps at each volunteer training, runs all our social media pages, and is an active member of our TRCHB board. Reilly is thoughtful and friendly with new volunteers, patient and kind towards our students, and amazingly creative in all areas of social media and design- if you’ve enjoyed a TRC Instagram reel or appreciated event branding and design, chances are that Reilly was behind it. She is a great example of being generous with both your time and talent! 

    Her love for our horses, students, and our program is evident in all that she gives to TRC and we are thankful to have her as part of our team! 

    Thank you, Reilly, for giving of your time and talent in the ways that you do! We appreciate the positivity, care, creativity, and intentionality you bring to TRC, whether it’s in the form of encouraging another volunteer, cheering on our students, or making a funny Instagram video. We’re so grateful for you!

James

  • 🌟 Volunteer of the Session: James! 🌟


    We’re excited to recognize James as our Volunteer of the Session! James shows up to Saturday lessons with a positive attitude and always ready to support our students. He takes the time to greet each rider, offering encouragement and helping create a welcoming, supportive environment in the arena.


    James is wonderful with our horses as well — his calm, kind demeanor has earned their trust and makes him a natural part of the team.

McKenzie Nelson

  • ✨ Congratulations to our Volunteer of the Session, McKenzie Nelson! ✨

    McKenzie has spent much of her young life here at TRC, and we’ve loved watching her grow alongside our horses. From learning to ride at TRC to volunteering with endless heart, McKenzie brings pure joy, laughter, and care to everything she does. 🐴💙

    Her love for the horses shines through every moment in the arena, whether she’s helping with lessons, grooming, or just giving our boys a little extra affection. McKenzie’s compassion and dedication remind us how special our volunteers truly are.

Cherry Blaine

  • We can’t get too far into the new year without recognizing our 2025 Volunteer of the Year, Cherry Blaine! ❤️✨

    As we officially close out last year, we want to celebrate Cherry for her incredible dedication to TRC. She wears many hats as both our Equine Care Captain and a devoted board member, and she truly is the heart of our horse care program. From making sure every horse is fed on schedule and receives medications properly, to ensuring they’re surrounded with care and attention, Cherry goes above and beyond every single day.

    Her compassion and commitment keep our horses healthy, happy, and ready to do the life-changing work they share with our riders. We truly couldn’t do what we do without her.

    Thank you, Cherry, for your leadership, kindness, and the countless ways you show up for TRC. We are beyond grateful to have you as part of our family. 🐎💙

    This session, we’re excited to recognize Ted and Emily!

    This father-daughter volunteer team is always willing to lend a hand and can be counted on to get things done. Their reliability, positive attitudes, and initiative make them an incredible asset to our program. Whether it’s tackling arena tasks without being asked or jumping in wherever help is needed, Ted and Emily are always there to support our riders, horses, and staff.

    Emily especially loves leading Cruise, and the bond they’ve built is a joy to watch. 🐴💙

  • Congratulations to our Volunteer of the Session — Darrin! 👏🐴

    Darrin has been part of the TRCHB family for many years, and we truly don’t know what we’d do without him. He’s the kind of person who quietly notices what needs to be done and takes care of it — no questions asked. Always willing to lend a hand, share a kind word, and jump in wherever he’s needed.

    Over the years, Darrin has made so many wonderful improvements to the center, and his hard work, heart, and generosity have made a lasting impact on everyone here — two-legged and four-legged alike.

Suzanne Leskovar

  • We’re thrilled to recognize Suzanne for her incredible contributions this session! From her thoughtful work creating our Hula & Hooves silent auction baskets 🧺💛 to her compassionate presence with our mental health group each Wednesday, Suzanne brings warmth, enthusiasm, and skill to everything she does.

    She’s not only amazing with our horses but also deeply encouraging with our students, always quick to notice their progress and celebrate their achievements.

Pedro

  • 🤠🐴 Congratulations to our Cowboy of the Year, Pedro! 🌟

    Pedro is always there when TRCHB or the horses need him most. Whether it’s feeding at a specific time, giving medications, or jumping in to lend a hand around the barn, he never hesitate, his answer is always “yes.”

    His dedication, reliability, and genuine care for our horses make him such an important part of our TRCHB family. We are so grateful for everything you do, Pedro. You truly embody the Cowboy spirit! 💙🐎

    This session, we'd like to recognize Susun for the incredible support she has provided at TRCLA!

    As we've launched our first session in Long Beach, Susun has been a constant source of help, jumping in wherever needed; from horse care to leading horses during lessons. Her patience, kindness, and caring nature shine through in every interaction, whether she's working with our horses or supporting our students.

    Volunteers like Susun help make our programs possible, and we are so grateful for the time, compassion, and dedication she brings to TRC each week.
