“TRC has meant so much to my daughter Amy, and our whole family. Over five years ago, we were searching for a place where Amy could gain her strength, find her confidence, and especially feel included in a supportive environment and community. TRC fulfilled all of that and more. Having epilepsy, along with the medications’ side effects can be challenging, but the instructors, volunteers, and especially the horses have helped Amy overcome physical obstacles, gain her core strength, as well as helped her with emotional and social benefits, gaining lifelong friendships. Recently, everything came together for her when TRC went to the yearly CalNet horse show. Amy was able to execute all of the skills she had learned and came home with a handful of blue ribbons and a big smile. That’s the same smile she has every week when she gets off her horse Chase.
