Tami Comet

Board Member, Fundraising Committee Chair

Hi! I’m Tami Lyn Comét.  Mom/wife/daughter, cook, baker, real estate agent, animal advocate, traveler, volunteer and nature lover.  I’ve been a California resident all my life.  Although I’ve lived in deserts and on beaches, my heart always feels at home when I’m at stables, farms, ranches, really any place with open land and critters running around.

By day, I’m a local real estate specialist and by afternoon/night, a passionate volunteer and board member for TRCHB and another local nonprofit for whom I bake birthday goodies for local foster children.  I am excited to get back to traveling, nationally and internationally, and getting back to adventures with family and friends.

Horses hold a special place in my heart.  It began one summer when I was a child.  I would stay with my grandparents while they managed a church camp in Frazier Park.  With all the other activities at the camp, my time was spent with the horses.  I was learning at an early age the benefits of riding and communicating on a different level with these magnificent creatures.   I enjoy both English and Western riding, as well as feeding and mucking out stalls.  I enjoy it all!  I believe in the healing power just being around these gracious animals has on one’s soul, mind and body.

I am honored to volunteer for TRCHB and also hold a seat on the Board.  I hope to provide support to the students, teachers and other board members so that TRCHB can continue to provide necessary services to its students and provide a comfortable home and life for our herd of lesson horses.  Thankful to be part of TRCHB’s future keeping up with the increasing needs of our community.
