For the last 12 years, TRC has kicked off Oktoberfest at Old World Village in Huntington Beach. This Fall fundraiser features music, dancing, food, raffles, prizes - and of course those little dachshunds racing their way to the finish line! (TRC's first Cowboy of the Year was none other than Old World Owner Bernie Bischoff!)
Students showcased a TRC lesson at an HCPEC schooling show, demonstrating exercises while going over ground poles, using their reins, basketball and other games
Our Coffee Cart, held throughout the month of November, is an outreach activity providing opportunities to connect with boarders at the equestrian center.
Our May fundraiser, Kentucky Derby Day, is always packed with excitement -- horseshoe decorating, face painting, silent auction, great barbeque, music, stick pony races, and a chance to pick the winner in the "Race for the Roses". A live radio broadcast brings all the excitement of America's biggest horse race to the beach!
TRC was part of Extreme Cowboy weekend! Students tested their skills in their own horse show held during an intermission from the Extreme Cowboy Challenge, a benefit for the Red Bucket Equine Rescue
TRC was featured in a pilot documentary called McCabe's World, which showcases the connection people have with animals. Our segment highlights the bond between horses and children with special needs. Three students were filmed, with interviews with students, families and volunteers
